SUMMARY

myriad-presentation-feb-2024-7
  • Uranium is the hottest commodity in the world currently. Demand outstrips supply and there is no near-term solution.
  • U.S. production is 165k lbs/yr. That’s set to rise to 50m lbs/yr. The increase will be centered on Wyoming, which hosts 3 out of 4 currently-operating uranium mines in the USA.
  • In Oct 2023, Myriad acquired an earnable 75% interest in the Copper Mountain Uranium Project in Wyoming. This has turned out to be an outstanding project, with the potential to be Wyoming’s largest uranium project.
  • Myriad has 34.5m shares out and is 46% insider-held.

A REMARKABLE STORY

  • Instead of a small exploration project, it turns out the Copper Mountain Uranium Project is remarkably advanced.
  • A trove of paper-based historic data has revealed that Union Pacific Railway spent US$78m (2024$) exploring Copper Mountain during the 1960s and
1970s, and that they had developed advanced plans to mine Copper Mountain (including the 6-pit plan shown here).
  • However this is not yet understood by the market.
  • Non-producing peers Laramide and Peninsula have C$175m and C$200m market caps, respectively, while Myriad’s is ~C$10.4m (May 7, 2024).

WYOMING URANIUM THESIS

wyoming-thesis
WY Senator John Barrasso leads the push to secure domestic supply
  • U.S. government support for the uranium sector is strong and entirely bipartisan.
  • Politically, the sector is led by Wyoming Senator John Barrasso.
  • The uranium price and investment in Wyoming’s uranium sector are likely to receive a big boost when the U.S. bans Russian reactor fuel. This is considered imminent.
  • Wyoming hosts 3 of 4 operating uranium mines in the U.S.

COPPER MOUNTAIN, Wyoming, USA

COPPER MOUNTAIN

  • This is the first time ownership of the entire Copper Mountain project area has been unified since 1982.
  • Note: The estimates on this slide are historical and not 43-101 compliant. See Slide 25 for further information respecting historical estimates.
  • Union Pacific drilled 2,000+ boreholes during the 1970s, identified 6+ deposits, and was planning a mine centered on the North Canning deposit.
  • They also estimated the project’s potential to be over 60 Mlbs, and estimated resources for for mine planning purposes to be between 15.7 and 30.1 Mlbs.
  • The ore at Copper Mountain is highly leachable (~90-95% recoveries) and ISR is a possibility but amenability has not been confirmed.
We have obtained a vast paper-based data trove, mostly from the 1970s, which is enabling us to leverage Union Pacific’s extensive work.
The trove is revealing drill results, resource estimates, deposit locations, and a significant number of high grade targets. Much of the information revealed has been immediately actionable.
For example, the historic Bonanza Mine at Copper Mountain was identified in the historical documents (see image to the right), and the mine area was immediately staked.

POTENTIAL FOR MAJOR DISCOVERIES

  • Background uranium in the granites is 50 ppm.
  • Modern techniques could lead to new uranium discoveries.
  • Union Pacific was focused on developing low-and-medium-grade bulk deposits. Numerous high grade structures have not yet been evaluated.
  • The high grade is associated with amphibolite schists, a feature shared with Beaver Lodge (Athabasca) and other high grade districts globally.
  • “New genetic models suggest a high chance for discovery of world-class deposits in both the hard rock and sandstone.”
– Neutron Energy internal report, 2010.

MINING POTENTIAL

myriad-presentation-feb-2024-13
  • Union Pacific had planned a mine at Copper Mountain but aborted in 1982 as prices fell.
  • They had evaluated the project as a medium-grade, very large volume deposit and planned open pit mining with a central processing plant. This is possibility is open to us.
  • Union Pacific identified a number of additional promising targets in the area that did not form part of their resource estimates or mine plan, but instead were slated for follow-up. Guided by the historical data, they have been recently acquired.
  • Note: The estimates below are historical and not 43-101 compliant. See Slide 25 for further information respecting historical estimates.
  • Knob Prospect: Up to 500 klbs at 0.15% with significant upside potential.
  • Midnight: Up to 10 Mlbs.
  • Bonanza Mine: Produced 780 klbs at 1.3%.

HISTORIC DRILLING

  • Myriad recently announced historical high grade uranium intervals at Copper Mountain.
  • The intervals relate to 82 boreholes drilled into the “High Grade Zone” at North Canning, an area slated for open-pit mining by Union Pacific.
  • The results confirm high grade uranium is relatively close to surface and gives Myriad a clearer path to production than previously thought.
  • New insights from this data could lead to enhanced average grades and volumes in this zone and elsewhere at Copper Mountain.
  • Note: The information on this slide is historical and not 43-101 compliant. See Slide 25 for further information respecting historical estimates.
  • Union Pacific had intended the “High Grade Zone” to be the center of a “hub-and-spoke” mine they were planning in the late 1970s.
  • Intercepts at the “High Grade Zone” (aka “Area of Special Interest”) were up to 0.385% and included many long mineralized intervals (up to 291 feet).
  • Grade-Thickness (GT) products range from the minimum selected 0.3 ft% (equivalent to 0.1% over 3 feet) to 11.55 ft% (represented by 0.05% eU3O8 over 231 feet).
  • Within the data set compiled, which related to 82 boreholes, there were 56 intervals >0.1% eU3O8 and 8 intervals >0.2% eU3O8.

COPPER MOUNTAIN

OPOTENTIALLY ONE OF WYOMING’S LARGEST URANIUM DEPOSITS

Note: The following estimate of potential is historical and not 43-101 compliant. See Slide 25 for further information respecting historical estimates.

If Union Pacific’s estimate of Copper Mountain’s potential (63.8 Mlbs) is realized, the Copper Mountain Uranium Project could be the largest uranium project in Wyoming.

NEW INSIGHTS

  • Note: The information on this slide is historical and not 43-101 compliant. See Slide 25 for further information respecting historical estimates.
  • Union Pacific never drilled deeper than 600 ft (182m).
  • But we now know, thanks to the recently-announced intervals, that high grade uranium (to 3850 ppm) is concentrated in the vertical structures which go much deeper.
  • Going deeper represents an exciting opportunity to increase the Project’s uranium grades and volume.
