Importance of Uranium

Uranium is a vital resource for nuclear power generation, which offers a reliable and low-carbon energy solution. As the world seeks to transition away from fossil fuels and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, nuclear power presents a viable option for meeting the growing global energy demand.

Uranium fuel provides a highly efficient source of energy, producing substantial amounts of electricity without emitting greenhouse gases. Moreover, uranium reserves are abundant, ensuring a long-term and stable energy supply.

Why Niger?

Niger is one of the largest producers of uranium in Africa, and the country’s uranium industry is led by the state-owned mining company Société des Mines de l’Aïr (SOMAIR) and the French mining giant Orano. The uranium mining sector in Niger accounts for a significant portion of the country’s export earnings and is a critical source of revenue for the government.

Niger is the world’s fifth-largest producer of uranium, and the government is working hard to attract investment to the sector and massively increase uranium production. In 2020, the government signed a new mining code that aims to attract more foreign investment by providing better tax incentives and reducing regulatory barriers. Niger is on track to become the world’s second-largest uranium producer.

Myriad is actively exploring for uranium on-structure and adjacent to Africa’s largest and highest grade deposits.

Project Overview

Targeting to make major uranium discoveries within its 1,800km² in the prolific Tim Mersoï Basin, Niger.

Surrounded by world-class projects, including Africa’s largest uranium deposit, Orano’s Imouraren (384 Mlbs eU₃O₈), and GLO’s high-grade Dasa (234 Mlbs eU₃O₈).

Extensive historic exploration including 28,000 of drilling. 20% of historic holes intersected >100ppm eU₃O₈.

We have Orano’s data worth millions, and their plans for follow-up.

Orano investing $115m in in-situ recovery at next-door Imouraren. We’re adjacent on the same fault structures.

Niger on track to be the world’s 2ⁿᵈ largest uranium producer. It has been providing America with uninterrupted uranium supply since 2007.
